Alexandria Ocasio Cortez isn’t the only socialist to primary a senior member of Congress.

Meet Shahid Buttar, a Marxist Islamic immigrant who has entered the 2020 congressional race to primary Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi in California’s 12th congressional district of San Francisco, which she has maintained control of for 17 terms.

“The political spectrum is sliding to the left. I am here to recapture the Democratic Party for labor and the left. Under the Clintons, with Pelosi, the party was co-opted by capital,” Buttar said in an interview in April.

In other words, Buttar, a self admitted socialist and supporter of Bernie Sanders wants to oppose capitalism from inside the halls of Congress and impose a socialist regime.

Buttar’s candidacy is a prime example of the growing threat that America faces today: the Red- Green alliance.
